Sea Shells Galore...

I feel like I'm already at the beach.
How about you?
I had fun creating this card because I just thought of the warm tropical breezes with blue ocean water and sea shells washing up on the beach all the while I was gluing on each little shell on this card.  I was sure to use light blue paper for the background to help co-inside with the feeling of the beautiful light blue water that is so prevalent in the Caribbean.  I then used some gauge that I had in the house and colored it green and blue on the background with my inks.  I had hoped this would give it the look of an old fishing net.  However, I really didn't have much room for the gauge on this small card of 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 to really show it off.

Close ups for you.

I also had a $1.00 stamp that I used for stamping the little sea shells to the front of the card.  How about that ity, bitty, real star fish?  I just love that!
The flowers remind me a bit of water Lilly's.  Although, water Lillie's are not from the the ocean?  Just water related.

Next time your at the ocean grab a
few little shells for your next card.
Thanks for joining me here today.

Blessings to each of you...

Congradulations In Order....

 First of all.....
"Congradulations"
are in order to our new
Miss County Fair Winner
2012
(here in the town where we live).

This past week I was taken back by a phone call that quite surprised me. The call came from a mother who asked me if I could make 16 pillow box's for her daughter who had entered as a contestant at our County Fair here in our town, to take place this past Saturday evening.

This special young lady wanted to offer a small token of positive reception to each of her fellow constituents after the pageant that evening.  I certainly think that was a unique touch and positive idea on her part to help make the evening feel just a "little more special" to each of them.   It’s the little things that a person sometimes does to encourage each other in the mist of a very significant evening.

Only having two days notice I got busy immediately working on the pillow box's.  Luckily, I had this pretty plum paper that I had bought at a stamp show this past year, so each box would be identical.  I filled the box's with Hershey Chocolate nuggets and used my Stampin -Up wheel on my Avery labels with a pretty design and then was able to put a little dress and crown with the County name and year over the labels with a computer program I have.  This helped give it a little more personalized feel for the girls.

When the project was over I wanted to give the young lady a little something of her own so I filled a clear box for her and made it as close as possible to the orginal box's but wanted her's to be just a bit different to enjoy.  Here it is.

So..."Congratulations".....
to all the young ladies who participated
in the County pagent.
Great job!
I'm sure you "ALL" had a most
memorable and wonderful time
that will be etched forever in your mind.
I feel honored that I could play just a
small little part in it.
It was fun!
Blessings...to each of you from Leanne!

Happy Valentine's Again...

Hello...fellow stampers.

In my previous post, I said; "I would try to play with my paper and supplies and make a traditional RED Valentines card".   I think I succeeded?

Had fun with the red & gold metallic paper I had on hand.  I don't normally use metallic paper but this one calls for it.   I bought those gold valentine hearts about two years ago when Michael's marked them down after Valentines Day.  I enjoy a bargain and these doilies were a real bargain.

This picture shows off how the red metallic paper
really glows when shooting the camera in the
sunshine with my light box.

Once again....Enjoy the day.

Happy Valentines Day!!!
