Simple and Easy

Excuse me for posting a tad late this week.  My hubby had surgery this week so things are a little busy around here at the moment as physical theraphy and nurses are in and out our door step for the next few weeks.

I needed a quick thank you card recently and a little something to give to a person who does nice things for for me.   So I came up with this in a matter of a few minutes. Using this embossing folder from Marianne Design Embossing Folder DS50907 it helped me make a lovely card in a hurry.   I also wanted a little something for the person to open besides the card.  So....what is better than some candy?  So I quickly made a pillow box and filled it with candy.  I had these Hershey nuggets on hand and decided to put a little flower on each one with a little flower pearl in the center.

I had a precut tag and attached put a little lace and a flower to match the candy on it to add to the pillow box.

This really took no time at all. One quick swipe through my big kick with the embossing folder and  a few embelishments on it and away I went.  I hope the person who received this thought I fussed a bit?  Everyone does love to be fussed over.

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you return soon?

Purple Flowers and Butterfly's

I don't think I know anyone who doesn't like the color purple. Purple certainly is an eye catcher?
I ran wild with purple on this card. Hopefully not overly done or over kill?  It seems that the white background really helps ground the purple and make it POP?

As you take a closer look you'll notice that I put a purple butterfly beneath the white lace butterfly.  I used my Stampin' Up sizzlet butterfly die cut and it seemed to be the same size and close match needed to put under the white lace butterfly to add color to it and match the butterfly from Cherry Lynn Designs.

Having the Marianne Design Creatable (LR 0202) as many others do, I tried to use it differently and tried to be creative and put my creative side in gear and not to reinvent the wheel and tried to use it a little different way here.  I have not seen it used like this on anyone else's blog.   If you have please let me know? .  The lattice effect is so pretty and I wanted to try in accentuate it a bit.

Stampin' Up with Natures Walk

Today I'm sharing this cute little card that I made for my dear friend Pam who is having surgery this week. I hope it helps brighten up Pam's day when she receives it and is recovering?  Actually next week my dear husband is having surgery himself.  He is having his second knee replacement.  So next week I will by soooooo busy with him.

I've been with my daughter this past week and we've been having fun with our crafting, scrap booking and card ideas.  Throwing out ideas to one another.  This stamp set is one of my daughters sets from Stampin' Up called Nature's Walk and I thought it was cute and wanted to experiment with it for this card.  It's fun working in my daughters stamping room.  Unfortunately, I do not have that luxury at home.   Sure wish I did!  It makes crafting so much easier being able to start  your work and leave it where you left it and then return to finish it when you want.  Maybe some day I will have the luxury of a real craft room?

While visiting with my daughter this past week we drove to Charlotte to attended the CK Success Scrapbook Show in Charlotte, N.C. this past weekend.  As I mentioned before this would be my 3rd scrapbook/stamp show for me this year.  So I think I've had my fill of stamp shows this year.  As always, spending to much money and extra supplies at the shows.  I must say at least my dear husband is supportive of my crafting desire.  I guess I have my daughter to blame for my habit...she's the one who got me started on this years ago, anyways.....LOL!

By the way...This is the cute little verse I put inside of this card rather than a computer generated verse for this card. All for now ladies and hope your having a wonderful week?

Shabby Chic...

Welcome back blog friends...
back to a bit of my usual pretty femininity for you this week.

I've had this pretty little card tucked away for a while. Today is time to show it off. It really reminds me of a touch of Shabby Chic. I so enjoy looking at other stampers blogs who are into Vintage or Shabby Chic. It does inspire me.   I decided to make a try at it and here you have it.  "It is what it is"!  That is one of my son's biggest sayings....LOL!

(A little close up of the lace flower I made for it
and layers of lace.)
(A close up of the K & Company dimensional flowers for you.)
Till next week have a blessed and happy week. Remember to keep those who are less fortunate or enduring hard times in your prayers...

Live...Love...Laugh...PRAY!
Blessings To All…
Leanne
