Shades Of Purple...

Yikes.... another week has come and gone and it's time to share another card  with you so you can have a another glance at my small little corner of the stamping world.  I'm hoping this stimulates your creative side and you enjoy your visit with me today?

Today.... I am pleased to share this colorful card with you.  The last couple of weeks my cards were without color and monochromatic of all white.  I've managed to add some of my homemade flowers here and a few that are not homemade, helping to form this pretty bouquet of color.

I used the "Ellentina Cutting Die #DCB002" and also the  lovely Stampin' Up stamp called "Hello Doily".   I then began building this card with many lovely shades of purple colors and flowers.

I'm hoping this will leave your taste pallet satisfied with a sweet taste that will bring you back again next week for another peek?  In the coming weeks I will be sharing loads of colorful cards with you. I'm excited to present them with lots of color to you rather than monochromatic.  So keep watching for more color.

I'm optimistic that  you have enjoyed your visit today and will be kind enough to leave a comment (below) letting me know that you peeked in on me today.  Better yet...be sure to tell your stamping friends to stop on by here, and share their visit with me, as well?   I would love hearing from each and everyone!  Please don't be shy.....?

Love...

I tried my very best to try and photograph and capture this pretty pearl-ized paper, I used for the background.  By laying it flat to photograph it, it does seem to capture the beauty here a bit more for you.  By no means... am I a professional photographer.  Sorry!  I  also photographed the card on my dark black table to hopefully capture the  background better for you.   Showing pictures in different lighting shows off different aspects of the card.

Again I used silver metallic paper for the Memory Box Die Cut La Rue Heart #98255. I then used my SLICE cutting machine to cut out a heart that was almost the same size as the Memory Box La Rue Heart with some silver glitter paper that I had. I thought it made a dramatic shimmering background to the heart it's self. I also used my SLICE machine to cut out the word "love" in glitter paper.

I found this inside verse to be sweet and simple to the card itself.

In my first top picture you can see that I also used the silver metallic paper to line the bottom lace.  This card is so much prettier in real time than these photographs show.  It will be a pleasure to eventually give it to someone for their up coming Anniversary.

I hope you enjoyed stopping by?

The Joy Of The Lord Is My Strength...

Is the rain ever going to stop?  I think this has been the rainiest summer ever.  What about you?  Amongst the rain drops I felt very impelled to make this card with the look of the sun's rays shinning upon the person who receives this?  I hope that's how they see it?

It's always so difficult to photograph white and make it show up nicely here.  I did the best I could to try and capture the shinning metallic silver paper and the pretty little rhinestone diamond shapes, while laying it flat to photograph. The rhinestones remind me of God's great grace and holy spirit shinning out from the card.

This verse was once again computer generated and compliments from Papercraft Memories. (Click on name to go to their blog,) I have several of these pretty iridescent cross's and was delighted to add it above  this complementary bible verse.  I also put iridescent Stickles on the word strength to make it appear as it was glowing along with the sunburst and cross on this embossing folder.  As always, the camera will not pick up the shinning Stickles.  This card is so much prettier in person with the all white background and silver metallic paper to line it.  I would say this is very much a CAS card.  Something I do very little of.

Many of you may be wondering where did I get that embossing folder as you will not find it out there on line for sale, from what I understand?  It seems it may not longer be available for sale anywhere?  If  you know of anywhere, please let me know?  I would love to know where?

This card would not be possible without the help of a very special blog friend (Peggy) who was kind enough to swap a couple things that I do not have and... in exchange, I sent her something she doesn't have.  I've always admired this embossing folder and am delighted to be able to have Peggy help me out and for her to be so kind and generous. Thank you Peggy!  I am forever grateful.
