Wishing You....

I made this card for my daughter who's close girlfriend is getting married.  Since I love making wedding cards I told her I would make a special one to give to her girlfriend Jaryn and Dustin the groom.

I love this stamp "Wishing You Both A Beautiful Forever" and seem to use it on a wedding card whenever I can.  I think embossing it in white embossing powder really helped it to stand out nicely?   I found these cute little rings at Hobby Lobby sometime ago and was sure to add them to the card which added more interest.

If you look really close here you will be able to see that I added some iridescent glitter powder to the bottom to glam up this card.  Unfortunately it is almost impossible to photograph it to show it off nicely.  Also adding lace and pearls feels so feminine for any bride.

Congratulations to Dustin and Jaryn!  Wishing you both a beautiful forever.....

Fly Away With Me...

I started out on this card to try something else and this is how it turned out?  Sometimes you have an idea in your head and putting it together on paper and sometimes just seems not to be what you originally envisioned?  But...in the end I still thought this worked ok?

This butterfly stamp is from Michael's from their $1.00 bin that I picked up ages ago and have had in my stash.  I realized the butterfly stamp was almost the perfect size to overlap my Cherry Lynn Designs Doilies & Exotic Butterfly #2 die cuts.  Creating a pretty colorful butterfly.

I couldn't let this card go without some sort of embossing on it, so I added this pretty little embossed edge that my stamping friend Nancy gave to me as a little gift some time ago.  (Thanks again Nancy!)  Surprisingly... I do get a lot of use out of the edged embossing folders she gave me.  I happen to like this edge the best out of the 5 edged choices that came with it.

I do plan on sending this card off to a dear friend to let her know I am thinking of her.  Her name is Faith.  Faith lost her home to the awful Hurricane 2012 storm " Hurricane Sandy" that came up through New Jersey last year.  She was out of her home for over 10 months trying to get it re-built again and into shape after having 5 feet of water through out it and losing many belongings.  She sent me pictures of her home after the storm last year in her Christmas card that made me gasp.  She also lost her husband earlier that previous year.  Her husband and mine were in the service together and remained faithful friends with them of over 40 years. Sometimes our dear Lord gives others crosses to bare that we don't always understand?  Faith certainly has had to bare her crosses the past couple of years.  My husband and I were so sadden to learn of Chuck's passing.  We miss him and love Faith dearly.  May God continue to bless Faith and her family!

Thanks for dropping by today and may your cup over flow with blessings...

Field Of Pink....

Ladies, ladies, ladies....Hello to you today!  Glad your here.

This pink and white card really makes me feel like a lady.  Pink on my cards always gives me a feeling of femininity.   I'm totally drawn to work with pink.  I don't know why?  I'm sure you've noticed that I do present a lot of pink on my work.

These pretty pink flowers are from Heartfelt Creations.  I stamped them with my coordinating stamp and then used my Big Kick to cut them with the coordinating die cut from Heartfelt Creations.

You may have noticed I added a pretty white bow to this card.  If you recall I do not put many bows on my cards.  One reason... is for mailing them and two is.... because I generally run out of room on the card to add one.  This card however really called for a bow.

Come on back again next week...I'll have something pretty again for you.
