2016 Christmas Card....

Transparent Christmas Decor with Bells PNG Clipart

Two years ago I made a similar card and decided to do it again but add a bit more touches with pine leaves and red sequence with a little crystal glitter glue in center of each sequence.  I always make at least 40 of them and send them out to friends and some family members each year.  Here is my finished product.

In the beginning stage below.  Most of you may know this technique I used where you take wide packing tape and sprinkle fine glitter dust and burnish it all over all over the tape.  You then take a stamped item of anything you like to place beneath it.  Here I used my musical stamp I had and stamped it on white paper and placed it underneath of the tape.

I then took a piece of paper, cut to card size and cut a hole in the center of it.  I then ran it through my Big Shot with my musical embossing folder and placed and taped my small musical stamp and glitter tape beneath the large musical paper hole.

The picture really doesn't show how pretty the sparkling musical bulb looks in real life. As you can see I had a production line going.  However,  I really worked on them in different stages.  I usually start my Christmas cards in the summer and work on them as I feel like.  I really hate being rushed and at Christmas time we have so many things to prepare for.

Here you can see I added the pine needles here with my Martha Stewart punch I've had for ages.

Here is how the Christmas bulb I created looks close up.  If you look hard you can see the pretty sparkling glitter inside the bulb.  During mail transit I'm afraid the sequence may have feel off inside the envelope.  I had trouble with the glue.  Probably not sticky enough?  So if your reading this and your one of my friends/family that received a card, I hope the sequence was still in tact?

Here is the computer generated verse I put inside each card.  I also add my husband and my name to the inside so they almost look as if they were sent for engraving. I also add a religious verse inside  my cards each year because we know "Jesus it the reason for Christmas".

I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!

Beth's Birthday Card...

A few months ago it was my daughter-in-law Beth's birthday and I wanted a very feminine card to make and give her. Pink and green always look so pretty together.  Being quite thick with the flower embellishments I was able to give it to her in person when they both came to visit with us.  I love it when my children decide to come and visit with us since we live in different states.

I used a few of my homemade flowers I had and attached them to the body and worked around it to add more interest.  Also, inserting a small key and heart as a symbol of my love to her.

Giving a little close up to help see the flowers and embellishments together.

As summer ends and fall begins I hope that you are enjoying a breath of fresh air?
Thanks for stopping!

Beth's Shower Card....

Back in April there was a bridal shower for my dear daughter-in-law Beth.  She is very feminine young lady and most girly girls love pretty high heals under their wedding dresses.  So I thought this might be fitting for a shower?

After purchasing this shoe die cut I decided I'd use it for Beth's shower card.  I didn't have much time to make her a petty shower card (as health problems have been plaguing me down).  Sometime ago I made a gorgeous umbrella card (click link to see it) for someone to purchase from me .  I only wished I had, more time and felt better to make a similar one for her.

Those glamorous little rhinestones are multicolored stick on's and just added enough bling - bling to give it some sparkle and glam against the white embossed background.

My Son's Wedding Card....

My son was married recently and I'm finally getting around to posting his card I made them.
We love our new daughter-in-law and know they will share many happy years together.  It was a memorable day for them.

I put extra time into this one and enjoyed every minute of it.  There isn't anything sweeter than a wedding card to make.  I love all the touches of lace, pearls and glitter reminding me of the feminine style a wedding usually carries.  Their ceremony took place outside at a beautiful lake over looking the shore as they repeated their vows.  The weather, the food and fun was perfect for a June wedding.

Here is the beautiful verse I found on line for free and added a few extra words to personalize it a bit more.

Here is the envelope that I embossed to go along with this pretty card.  Thanks for stopping and have a happy week.

Stampin Up Fresh Folliage...

The penmanship stamp is one of my favorite little stamps from Stampin Up stamp set called Fresh Follage.  I also love the little post office stamp that says Paris.  I use them quite often.

I needed a quick little card for my girlfriends birthday and hurried and made this card and got it out in the mail for her.

I wish I knew why I cannot change the font in the body of my posts back to my original text since upgrading to Windows 10.  If anyone has an answer I'd love hearing from you.  I've tried several times to change it back and it won't?
Thanks for stopping and have a great week.

Red, White, and Blue ....

With Labor Day shortly around the corner I thought this card might be appropriate even though I made it for someones Fourth Of July Birthday.

Over the top of the back round I used a stamp that looked like cheese cloth and pressed gently all over not to capture the whole stamp and then used gold embossing powder.  I purchased decals from Michael's Craft Store for the firecrackers since I had no stamp.

This card was for a gentlemen who was reaching his 50th birthday.  So you may notice in the left and right side of the fire cracker there is a small 50 as though it was projecting from the fire cracker.

I was happy the way this card turned out and hope you enjoyed peeking as well?

White and Cream...

The photography on this card is not to good.  But in real life it's so pretty.
It has a glittered paper back round with off white ribbon.

Using white die cuts really make the glitter back round pop.

This was an easy card that I needed for a going away party for a girlfriend.  She absolutely
loved it and planned on keeping for old time sake.  Hope your day is going well?

Through the Window Glass....

Don't we just love looking at a window as pretty as this and seeing pretty curtains and gorgeous flowers in front of it.  Well....I tried adorning the look of pretty lace curtains to this window and placing flowers at the sill with this card.  Seems you never can go wrong using pre-made Dementional flowers from K & Company, as used here.

I layed the card (down here in this picture) so you can see the light reflecting off of it and that there is a piece of clear plastic between the card stock. It helps it to feel like window glass.  I sent this to my niece for her Anniversary.  Hope she liked it?  I hope you do as well?

Thanks for peeking.....Hugs to all!

Light As A Feather....

Welcome back to my blog stampers.  Today I have two cards that are almost identical.  I'm naming them "Light As A Feather" because if you look closely at both cards you will notice I have a feather behind the dimensionals that I used and it adds a soft and warm feeling.
A dear friend of mine asked me to make two identical looking cards for her girlfriends birthday.  However, I wanted to make them feel a little more special to both of them without being totally identical.   So both have a subtle flare of their own.

I enjoyed making these and where relatively simple by adding the dimensionals and whimsey feathers that I had.  Hope you enjoyed stopping in today?

Wish....

I wished my girlfriend Sandy a lovely and special birthday while sending her this card.  It is another one of my clean and simple cards.   Sometimes I think clean and simple is somewhat harder to get a simple idea in my head rather than using lots of layers on my cards.

Sandy was so appreciative and said she saves each card I send to her each year. Knowing someone appreciates your efforts and that they save them makes me happy for the work involved.  It makes it even more special then to send them birthday wishes again each year.  ((((smiling))))!

I generally try to make cards to send in the mail that are not to thick so that I do not have to pay for extra postage.  This is one of them.

Hope your week is going well and your happy scraping?
