Spring Fling...

Thanks sweet blog friends for stopping by again this week to view what I have recently created.  I love knowing you stopped by with your sweet comments. To each friend who so graciously writes a comment I say Thank You!  It feeds my soul and inspires me to continue on blogging each week.

Winter was so so hard this year for many of you I'm hoping spring bulbs are popping through your soil and finally sunshine is flooding in on you?  Enough snow and cold temps for this year.

It was fun once again mixing die cuts trying to form something a little out of the ordinary.  On this card I used the Spellbinders Timeless Rectangles die cut for the boarder and Marianne Design LR0202 for the inside lattice effect.  Adding a few K & Company flowers to each corner while added spring colors to this card and a light blue background behind the white paper.  I chose a blue background because it always feels so soft, cool and calming to me.

May your week be filled with loads of inspiration and crafting fun.

Thanks Special Friend....

Hi girls....thanks for stopping again!

I sent this card out to a special friend who recently came to visit for the day and had the pleasure of doing lunch with.  When the bill came she insisted on paying.  Something I never expect someone to do.   So I went home and made a special little card to put into the mail and send on to her to express my gratitude.

I had recently purchased this Spellbinders die cut called "Floral Ovals".  I was anxious to use it and try it out.  I've had my eye on this die cut for sometime and finally got around to purchasing it.  Glad I did because I  think it adds a nice touch to any card.

May your week be filled with loads of paper, ribbon, die cuts and ink.  And... any other crafting supplies that adds sunshine to your day!   Thanks for stopping!

Happy 50th Anniversary Card & Gift....

Just yesterday, (Saturday) we were invited to a 50th Anniversary celebration party here in our neighborhood. So, earlier last week my little hands got busy creating a card that the bride and groom might enjoy? I also made a little something extra to give along with the card.  Since gifts were declined for this affair I wanted them to have a little something else to go along with the card.

Since gold is the color used for the 50th celebration I found this tiny, tiny gold sticker (50) and attached to the center of the organza flower.  I used the heart die cut from Memory box called LaRue which is my favorite heart die.  The lace background is from Ellentian Cutting Dies Classic Collection  DC8002.

I wanted the card to look wedding-ish without going over board.  My little story I am sharing with you today is a bit unique.  This couple of 50 years were married secretly while she was still in high-school at the age of 16 and he only 19.  So.... I'm sure they didn't have many wedding cards as a remembrance back then?  So I am hoping that this one will be special to them?  The couple waited two years while waiting for Linda to finish high-school and then breaking the news to her parents.  Many Congratulations go out to Bunky and Linda for your  love and perseverance and relationship lasting through the years.  You make a wonderful couple and great example to others.  Thanks so much.....we enjoyed sharing in your celebration.  It will be long remembered.

I also took my embossing folder and embossed the envelope to add a more festive wedding look to it.

I earlier dashed off to buy some candies that had gold foil wrapping on them and placed them inside of a plastic pillow box that I had bought and saved from a scrap show for a quick need such as this.  I then wrapped a bow around it with tooling and added a pearl gold brad to the center and made a tag with gold embossing powder with the verse "Wishing you both a beautiful forever".  One more of my favorite stamps that I get a lot of use out of.

Thanks for peeking.

Timeless Rectangles...

Good day stampers.  Stopping by and sharing with you makes me smile (((smiling)))!

Today I share with you some pretty pink, green and pink gingham plaid with this card.  As many of you know I usually send out my cards right away but this one is not for anyone in particular.  So I will put it away until I find someone who is in need of a pick me up card or birthday soon.

I'm a little stuck on using this Spellbinders "Timeless Rectangle" die cuts,  I think it makes a stunning frame for almost any card frame.  It outlines it and frames it so pretty.

I was having a bad day trying to photograph the colors in my picture and to stand out crisp and clear.  Only because the day I photographed it, it was a cloudy day and couldn't get good color.  This cards color are  really pretty in real time.  Sorry ladies......

Anyhow thanks for stopping!  It's always a pleasure!
