Hi Ladies....Hope your day is going well?
I'm back to share another card with you. I love the lavendar and the green combination used here. This color combo reminds me of Spring and Easter time all rolled into one. Hope your trees are beginning to bud where ever you live right now?
I used the Cuttle Bug Embossing Folder called "Leafy Branch" and embossed it on the left side (only) of the paper. I like the look it gave. It feels like the leaves are coming out of the stamped leaves. The stamp set used with this card was a very old set from Stampin-Up called "Best Blossoms". I used lavendar roses and a green flower to match with the color scheme. I used three different punches on the left and stamped flowers to match on the oval raised area of the card. Hope it tickles your fancy for spring?
Don't be shy, be sure to leave a comment now or at any time I post a new card or an older post that you might have liked....? Come back soon to visit with me!
Hugs..and blessings once again...Leanne

Easter Wishes...
I'm sure the winters been long for many of you who live up north? I bet your watching those daffodils or tulips starting to pop up through the soil? I just love the spring time. I love the weather changing and knowing warmer weather is on the way. I began feeling in the spring mood and decided it was time to work on Easter cards.
So here's what I came up with today. I love purple at Easter time and it reminds me of Spring. However I just want to mention the little cross in the middle of the card. This little cross has a three dementional mirrored effect. My dear friend Nancy (who also enjoys creating cards) gave me these with a few other goodies the last time we got together. Thanks...again..Nancy! You helped to make this card a little more special with the perfect stamp that I found at Michaels in the $ bin last season. Was glad to use the stamp now. Will not bore you with any more details of what was used to make this card today.

A Bit of Vintage
Hi Ladies...I so enjoy a fancy card. Hope you enjoy this one as much as me? I had fun with this one. I enjoyed using my Martha Stewart punch to form a beautiful boarder around the card. I also used Hub Pages and copied the little picture that is an old fashioned seed packet to place in the back round. (Hub Pages is a vintage web site with free downloads.) I used pretty pink brogue scrap book paper that I had for the very back round and added the flowers with leaves from my Stampin-Up punches and added the flourishes which are speckled but does not show up in the picture. Added more petite roses and leaves. And there you have it. Here is the inside as well.
A Cheerful Heart...
A cheerful heart is definitely good medicine. Isn't it fun to receive a nice hand made card from a friend when your sick? (The color beige is a bit off in the color photo, so sorry...working to try and improve picture quality). However, the pink and beige go quite nicely together. I stamped the back round with Stampin-Up's stamp (called En Francais) and embossed it with pink embossing powder and then used brown ink and sponged it all over with my sponge dobber to make it two toned in color. I purchased the leafs from Michael's which helped make it a bit more interesting when adding the flowers. I used my Spellbinders Borderabilities Lattice die cut and attached it to the right of the card and added pearls and a bow. I used my Spellbinders Oval Die Cut, placed the Proverbs 17:22 verse in it, lightly stamped flowers behind the verse in light pink. I then placed another oval die on the back to frame it out in beige.

I Hear Wedding Bells....
I hear Wedding Bells..... When learning of my niece (Alexa) and her wedding plans for later this year, I got right at it and began a nice card for her. I used all white on this card and was able to use my Cuttlebug embossed background called "Birds and Swirls". A friend had given me stationary that had silver embossed wedding rings on it. How perfect? So I used that stationary and embossed the lettering "Wishing You A Beautiful Forever" in silver below the wedding rings and cut out the design with my Spellbinder Nestabilities with Labels Nine. I then added the second layer in silver metallic paper to off set it nicely. I added some wedding appliques that I had for quite a few years and added them to the front to add more of a wedding and lace look in each corner. Then I added pearls with satin flowers and a small bow. Inside I added a computer generated wedding verse to congratulate them. I'm looking forward to attending their wedding this summer.

It's "TWINS".....
I'm sure many of you have seen the carriage cards posted on other websites like this. This was particularly loads of fun to make because my niece was having "TWIN GIRLS". They were born on Feb. 11th, 2011. Their names are Audrey and Cameryn. So loads of love went into making this special little card just for them. Below is the cute little announcement my niece Kelli sent us to announce their birth. Aren't they sweet?
This style card is nothing new or that I created on my own. Unfortunately I cannot take any credit for the great idea. I manged to take the idea and make it into a easel card. I placed a cute verse inside the carriage that opens. The verse was computer generated.
The card reads....
There's two to wash,
Two to dry
Two who argue
And two who cry.
There's two to kiss
Two to hug
Two to dry
Two who argue
And two who cry.
There's two to kiss
Two to hug
And best of all Two to Love!
Then I really got busy...and wrapped a cute little gift for the new babies to give to Kelli after the babies were born. I was very energetic about this project so I made her my own little card for the gift and made a cute little medallion for the top of the gift. Here's a peak at all the little items for the girls.
I'm so looking forward to meeting them. Can't wait!!!! Hopefully this summer sometime?

Candy Anyone?
Box Top
Close up of box and candies for you.
I just love those Hershey Nugget candies. I found directions on the Internet to make the box's out of 8 X 12 card stock. They actually were quite easy to make. Just a bit time consuming. The most fun was decorating the box's. I then took a round roller I had purchased from Stampin-Up and rolled the stamp on to Avery Labels that were the perfect size to wrap the Hershey Nuggets in. I also took my Stampin-Up roller stamp and stamped the tissue paper to match. I loved making these for little gifts to give out to a friend or someone who is celebrating a Birthday or maybe not feeling so well. This may help to cheer them up? I made these box's at Christmas and wrapped them in cello bags with a nice silk bow attached and a nice Christmas tag and stamped "Merry Christmas" on it. I then took them to my daughters at Christmas because she needed a nice gift to give to two of her neighbors. Those two gifts were made to look like huge snowflakes on them. I used my Nesabilites templates and my Big Kick embossing machine to make the pendant that resembles a snow flake and help from Becca Veeken with Splitcoaststamper to make these beautiful Fleur de Les pendants. I placed little pearls on each point which really helped decorate them up pretty. (So sorry that the picture quality is not the best.) Still working on my pictures to post better quality. I'm still new at this.
I also made the flowery box and gave it to a close friend for her Birthday in February with a nice little card to match. This was my first attempt to make my own little pink flowers on top of the box that I learned on the Internet. The yellow and white flowers are from a punch. I then wrapped the box in a cello bag and wrapped a pretty bow on it and placed a tag (like above) to add a bit more fun to it when giving it as a gift. The tag was stamped with "Happy Birthday" on it. I like leaving the tag empty with out putting their name on it so they can use the tag again for some one else at a later time. What a great little gift.
My neighbor received this for her birthday.
Happy Birthday with a Charm
I prefer making my cards a little larger lately. 5 3/4 x 5 3/4. Your able to put more embellishments on your card but when it comes time to mail it, it takes more postage than normal. So I try to use the larger cards and hand deliver them when I can rather than mailing them which takes more postage. I'm sure the post office loves me for that. I love the little dragon fly charm on it. How about you?
Sea Shell Gifts
One afternoon I had fun decorating these cute little sea shells. After a day at Tarpon Springs Fl. (that is noted as the sponge capital of the U. S.) and walking along the many tourist shops there I decided it would be fun to purchase a few shells and do something fun with them? First I took glue and added water to make a runny paste and then brushed it all over front and back. This was to help strengthen the shell that is so delicate and hopefully not break easily. I then glued magnets on the back so it could be placed on a refrigerator. I then painted my initials on the back, I also put ribbon at the top to hang in case someone wished not to have it on the fridge. I then added and glued a couple of other shells to the front. I also added a cute flower and butterfly on it. (In the last picture you will notice that I decided I did not like the original flower so I ended up changing the flower. Sorry, I do not have a close up of the new flower to post. It is a much prettier rose flower. If you look close you can see the new flower in the last picture.) I had recently purchased the clear box's at a stamp show I attended earlier this past month (Feb.) in Clearwater, Fl. I put a little shredded paper inside and added a pretty bow with a cute little note attached to it that reads "For You" and added little clear hearts I bought a Michael's Crafts. I think they turned out quite cute. Another cute little gift.
