A little more Easter inspiration here today...
using these colors remind me of Easter.
I have another quick post this week as I've entered this in Post- A- Note
Challenge #12 over at Joan's Garden again this week. I'm quite sure that winning a challenge two weeks in a row is almost impossible. So I have a dual purpose here.... one for the challenge and one for a gift. So... I thought I'd make it for the challenge and then give it to a special friend this week when I stop by her office to drop off some papers. I love giving a little something to this person because she loves and appreciates my little gifts and cards I've given her in the past.
As you can see I adhered a post it note pad on the inside and added a verse to the top sheet (only). About a year ago, I downloaded directions on YouTube on how to make Post-A-Note Covers so that you can attach a pen or pencil to the top portion. Just go to YouTube and put in Post-A-Note Cover and several videos should come up for you to follow the directions.
Here is what you need to do for Joan's Gardens Weekly Challenge #12
- Cover a Post A note
- Use some kind of Die Cut for a background
- Purple is this week's color
- Use a butterfly or something from nature
I did all the above except I used a cute little dragon fly instead of a butterfly and added little diamond cut rhinestones to each corner of the die cut. These little rhinestones add a touch of elegance.
I covered this gift with a clear cello bag and added a bow and a cute little tag that reads: For You! I love putting my little do-dad's I make into a cello bag when giving a little gift to someone. I think it just helps it look a little more special like you fussed for them.
I hope your were inspired today by my little note pad? Even If I don't win at Joan's challenge I'm sure who ever does win... will be thrilled and enjoyed in the fun playing along.
Have a blessed week and a beautiful Easter everyone!
oh goodness, this is even more gorgeous all wrapped in cellophane and a beautiful tag added!! She will love this!! *Ü*
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done! I love hydrangeas and haven't had very much luck growing them here in our rocky soil. I just bought another last weekend at Sam's Club trying to keep it lookin' nice until Sunday's church service (wish me luck). :)
